Hansford Cycles (Lucy Jones)

Who said buying a house is stressful – I would say a close second is buying a new bike!!

Where do you go? How many gears? What size? What make?

Well – the answer is go to Hansford Cycles! Having been to a few shops (not mentioning any names) I was confused as to what I needed and felt that I was being blinded with science or not taken seriously (being a girly!).

Pete Jordan put me in touch with Adam at Hansford Cycles and we chatted first about my current bike, the sort of riding I was doing and the gear ratios I used. I took my Trek in and all the dimensions measured to come up with a bike that would best match that. After a few more chats and visits the bike was ordered and set up ready for collection within 4 days! Since then I have had a few visits to tweak things (at no extra cost) and I am now the proud owner of a Giant Alliance OCR.

Tri bars, pedals, shoes and a new speedometer were also included and all in all the deal I was given was outstanding good value and to top it all the staff are so friendly and for once I didn’t feel stupid asking questions that most other bike shops would have laughed at.

So if you are looking to buy a new stead for the rest of the season then take a visit to Hansford Cycles at Chandlers Ford. They also offer bike fitting, servicing and accessories and there is a 10% discount to all club members when you show your club membership card. Adam and his team are all keen (and very good) cyclists so can offer great advice too. Check out the website as there is now a link to it.
